My Joseph Ashforth and son Samuel Laycock Ashforth had a steel industry in sheffield through the 19th century. I would be interested to know how you are connected.

Ashforths in Sheffield also include Samuel, b. 04/02/1699; his son, George Ashforth, B. 1730 was master silversmith. GA had several companies and several Hallmarks.

Ashforths in Birmingham include Robert Thomas, Master Silversmith, Journeyman, and his family. They migrated to the USA around 1881.
