Birth Certificate - William Henry Ashforth 1851-1899
I have received the birth certificate of William Henry ASHFORTH 1851-1899 from Sheffield Register Office. The maiden surname of Leah ASHFORTH the mother of William Henry is shown to be WEBB and she is living at Bacon Island, Nether Hallam, Sheffield.
Bacon Island was one of the areas of Sheffield affected by the great flood of 1864, when the Dale Dyke reservoir burst its banks.
