Introduction
Hello and welcome to my Family History Journal, primarily focusing on my family names Jacklin and Ashforth.
For my JACKLIN line I am deeply indebted to Gary Pardoe for his excellent 'JACKLIN(G) HOME PAGE'. Gary's site provides a wealth of information about the Jacklin's of Whaddon and Orwell; villages located south-west of Cambridge, England:
- James JACKLIN 1738-1814 and Elizabeth WHITE 1738-1814
- James JACKLIN 1767 and Ann HOWES 1775
- William JACKLIN 1797-1874 and Jemima EASY 1797-1874
- Daniel JACKLIN 1842-1897 and Lydia PEARCE 1843-1922
- Daniel JACKLIN 1862-1953 and Zellaby 'Ziller' ALLEN 1858-1949
- Wifred JACKLIN 1896-1967 and Ivy DIXON 1901-1985
- Ronald JACKLIN 1922-2006 and Living
The Journal comprises, in chronological order, articles documenting the research of my family history.
The Gallery contains old and new photographs of people, places, buildings, etc. referenced in the Journal articles.
Timelines provides an interactive view of my ancestors (currently broken).
I have created profiles of People and Places for many of my ancestors. These profiles provide quick links to family trees, family groups, sources, towns and villages, buildings and photographs.
